ReadyOne, a non-profit organization, provides employment opportunities for significantly disabled and non-disabled people

El Paso, TX (December 6, 2019) - ReadyOne Industries, El Paso’s largest employer of significantly disabled people in garment manufacturing, will be expanding its mission under a partnership with SourceAmerica and Pine Bluff Arsenal (PBA) to further support the needs of the U.S. Military.

“We are honored to be awarded this contract,” said Luis Alvarez, CEO/President of ReadyOne Industries. “ReadyOne Industries is proud of our workforce and are eager to welcome new employees to the organization. The additional location at Pine Bluff Arsenal speaks to our ability to produce high quality technical garments with on-time delivery. This collaboration reflects the strong partnership we have with our customer, The Defense Department’s Joint Program Executive Office (JPEO) for Chemical-Biological Defense. This would not have been possible had it not been for the support of state and local community leaders of Arkansas. ReadyOne Industries thanks Governor Asa Hutchinson, Mayor Foster of White Wall, Ark., Mayor Washington of Pine Bluff, Ark and County Judge Robinson,” said Alvarez.

“This is a great partnership that aligns the AbilityOne Program with the Arsenal Act to create jobs at Pine Bluff Arsenal,” said John Key, senior business development executive at SourceAmerica. “These jobs will impact the local economy and increase employment opportunities for professionals with significant disabilities while enhancing readiness for members of the military.”

State and local economic development officials, including the Economic Development Alliance of Jefferson County, prepared an incentive package in support of the PBA-ReadyOne partnership. Based on favorable business case analysis and good economic incentives, the partnership was approved by Army officials. The current schedule is to begin operations at PBA as early as Summer 2020.
