Synopsis

Abdul "Karriem" Muhammad, an award-winning rehabilitation specialist at PCSI, advocates for and supports employees with disabilities, ensuring their success and connecting them with job opportunities beyond the AbilityOne® Program. His commitment earned PCSI a Gold Scholarship Award through Davenport University, which awarded 50 scholarships to PCSI employees and their families. Karriem’s partnership with the city of Sterling Heights also led to them declaring every October as National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), which he helps organize events for.

Award-winner Abdul "Karriem" Muhammad exhibits a passion for serving and advocating for people with disabilities that aligns perfectly with his career as a rehabilitation specialist.

In this role, he ensures every employee with a disability has accommodations and training to succeed in all stages of their careers. Muhammad also connects employees with job opportunities at local organizations when they are ready to pursue work outside of the AbilityOne® Program.
