Crescenciano Pelias provides hospital housekeeping and aseptic cleaning services to the Naval Hospital Bremerton. Pelias has dealt with the effects of Parkinson’s Disease for many years. Despite waking up to unimaginable pain and physical impediments for the most menial daily tasks, Pelias makes it to work every day, with his freshly pressed uniform, sunny disposition, and smiling face.

At the hospital, Pelias’ duties include the thorough cleaning of patient and exam rooms, office spaces, and restrooms. Infection control in a hospital environment is paramount, and though Pelias is affected by the twin obstacles of chronic pain and tremors brought about by the advanced stages of Parkinson’s Disease, his quality of work in the zero-defect culture of hospital housekeeping is perfection personified. He has been the recipient of numerous letters of appreciation and email accolades from the hospital staff.
