Celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month 2024

Throughout National Disability Employment Awareness Month this October, SourceAmerica is celebrating the nearly 59,000 people with disabilities employed through our network nonprofit agencies, including the more than 33,000 AbilityOne Program employees.

The Department of Labor Office of Disability Employment Policy's NDEAM focus is Access to Good Jobs for All. And at SourceAmerica, we recognize that true inclusion equals all. In October and all year long, we encourage everyone to reflect on the importance of increasing the number of job opportunities for people with disabilities and creating opportunities for high-quality jobs which offer chances for advancement and growth.

NDEAM celebrates the year-round collaborative efforts and advocacy of SourceAmerica team members and approximately 575 network nonprofit agencies to create quality, meaningful jobs with upward mobility opportunities for people with disabilities.

National Disability Employment Awareness Month is a chance to celebrate the contributions of people with disabilities in their workplaces and communities. Employment gives all people a sense of pride, accomplishment and belonging, and it contributes to physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being. That's definitely worth celebrating!
