SourceAmerica
Nonprofit Contractor
Federal Customer
US AbilityOne Commission
Government customers can begin development of the requirement with SourceAmerica® with as little as a draft Performance Work Statement/Statement of Work.
Step 1

Draft PWS/SOW

Once the government has stated its intent to consider using AbilityOne, SourceAmerica finds and recommends the best-fit contractor within our network of nonprofit agencies.
Step 2

Contractor Recommendation

The AbilityOne Commission reviews the recommended contractor’s book of business to ensure there are no adverse impacts.
Step 3

Impact Determination

Once a contractor is selected, a site visit is scheduled. There, the contractor presents its capabilities and clarifies the specifics of the requirement being priced.
Step 4

Contractor Site Visit

SourceAmerica reviews every price proposal for accuracy before it is submitted to contracting. Everything except the AbilityOne program fee is negotiable.
Step 5

SourceAmerica Review

SourceAmerica and the contractor develop a package to submit to the AbilityOne Commission for review in advance of the requirements addition to the Procurement List.
Step 6

Develop PL Addition Package

This process can take up to 5 months and includes a thorough price review and suitability assessment. Two separate postings to the Federal Register are made for 30 days each. In between those, the AbilityOne Commission members review the requirement and vote on its addition. During the second posting, contracting documents can be prepared.
