
Laura Walling
Vice President of Government Affairs, Goodwill Industries International
Laura Walling is a member of the SourceAmerica Board of Directors.
Walling currently serves as Vice President of Government Affairs at Goodwill Industries International. In this role, Laura leads the government relations team and implements strategies that advance Goodwill’s public policy agenda. She primarily does this through direct and grassroots advocacy, engaging with leaders throughout the Goodwill network, and representing Goodwill before Congress and the administration. She joined the organization in 2005 and has previously held roles in member relations, board relations, and government relations.
Prior to joining Goodwill, Walling was a Senior Research Analyst and Staff Attorney with a state government affairs firm. She has also worked for a New York State Assemblyman, a New Jersey Congressman, and clerked for several judges.
Walling is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association and Women in Government Relations. She is a former Co-Chair of the board of the Young Nonprofit Professional's Network of DC. She also serves on the Advisory Council of NonprofitVOTE and the public policy committee of the National Council of Nonprofits. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Laura was instrumental in the creation of the #Relief4Charities Coalition. She was recognized for her advocacy efforts in the NonProfit Times' 2021 Power & Influence Top 50 list.
Walling holds degrees from Rutgers University and Pace University School of Law.
