Synopsis
Cherie Hill-Mayers worked at Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, Inc. in Milwaukee for 17 years, performing food service duties on an AbilityOne contract, but she had bigger dreams. After taking computer and technology training classes, Hill-Mayers is living closer to family in Austin, Texas, where she is now employed at a luxury hotel.

After seventeen years of rising through the ranks at Goodwill, Cherie decided it was time for a change. She pushed herself to reach for her dreams, learning new skills, creating her resume, and applying for jobs. Now she’s on a new career path with JW Marriott and living closer to her family. It’s a personal and professional win she’s proud of and one that co-workers attribute to her being fierce, fearless, and passionate about her work. Cherie says it this way: "When you put your mind to it, you could do anything."
